Craftsmanship

Each Taytta hat is handwoven in Ecuador using authentic toquilla straw, a natural fibre harvested from the Carludovica palmata plant. The weaving process is entirely manual and requires exceptional skill developed over generations of artisans.

The straw is carefully selected, softened, and woven strand by strand before the hat is blocked and finished to achieve its final shape.

Sizing Guide

Using a string or measuring tape, wrap it loosely around the widest part of your head around 1cm above the eyebrows and ears. For the perfect fit, we recommend repeating this process a few times.

XS = 54 cm (21.3 in)
S = 56 cm (22 in)
M = 58 cm (22.8 in)
L = 60 cm (23.6 in)
XL = 62 cm (24.4 in)
XXL = 64 cm (25.2 in)

Care Instructions

1. Avoid getting wet. If your hat gets wet, let it air dry naturally.
2. Do not force dry your hat in the wind because doing so may cause the fibers to break and deform over time.
3. Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. We recommend storing your hat in the original Taytta recycled cardboard packaging or in our premium hat case.
4. To remove stains from a hat, wipe the area with a clean, semi-damp white cloth. Allow the area to completely dry naturally before wearing again.
5. To fix a deformed brim, simply place a clean piece of cloth on top of it and iron (do not use steam) over it on medium until it returns to its original shape.
